Health
Health

Since Pan American Health Service started operations in Honduras in 1960 the primary goal has been to provide health care to the poor, focusing specifically on the treatment of children suffering from malnutrition.

Thanks to the support of our donors, such as yourself, thousands of children have been saved from a sure death.

Education
Education

Malnutrition is directly related to the poverty of nuclear families in Honduras; most of the people in these families that live below the line of poverty never receive basic education.

Thanks to your support, the members of these poor families now have opportunities to learn to read and write, as well as to acquire skills they can use in seeking jobs to better support the needs of their families.

Boys and Girls Homes
Homes

Since 1965 when the Nutritional Hospital opened its doors to small malnourished patients, some of the parents that brought their children for treatment never comeback for them. So Dr. Stephen Youngberg, and his wife Verlene, started a program to provide the abandoned children with a home and a family.

Thanks to your contributions, correspondence with them and to your visits, these boys and girls have a home and a family to call their own.
