| ... Boys' and Girls' Homes |
Some children who have been patients in the Nutrition Hospital are unable to return to their home of origin, and so they are given a Home on our campus. Additionally PAHS provides room and board for young people whose families live in remote areas, far from secondary educational facilities and who have show strong academic achievement in grade-school. Support is also given to single mothers, assisting their efforts to raise and educate their children by providing a place to live, a job and education for the mother and for her children. PAHS has officially operated Girls' and Boys' Homes since January 1970. |

Young people from remote areas whose families do not have the means to send them away to school are provided the opportunity to live in our Homes. They must show strong scholastic aptitude, must be very well–behaved and they must contribute positively to the workload of the Campus.

Several families that are headed by single mothers live on our campus. Many have come to our campus seeking healthcare for an ill or malnourished child, and have stayed on to contribute to the work force, get an education and educate their children. It is very difficult for a poor, single mother to maintain the health and well being of their children without the support of others. In assisting these single mothers PAHS hopes to help break the cycle of poverty by facilitating education and promoting a healthy family system with safety for both mother and children.
